I’ve been ordering online from ALF for years and decided to stop in since I was driving through the area. First thing I noticed was that they treat every customer like family. The level of customer service here is absolutely incredible. Along with the customer service, their stock and variety is among the best in any tackle shop I’ve ever visited. I’m not usually one to write reviews but I was truly blown away by this shop! If you are ever in the area or shopping online, please consider these guys. If you're like me and hesitant to order used gear online you don't have to worry here. If it's listed as "used excellent condition" they mean it. Both used reels I ordered didn't have a mark on them and have been great out on the water. Even after ordering the reels I was still very hesitant to order a rod assuming the chance of being damaged in shipping is very high but their packaging puts those worries to rest. The rod arrived in a 3-1/2" tube with nearly 1/4" thick wall! Both ends of the rod are padded with the bottom taped down so the rod can't slide around in the tube. It's as good as shipping it in a schedule 40 PVC pipe. I made my first order after hearing about them on the TackleTalk podcast and they have been great all around, they often run sales on used gear that is when I picked everything up. Nate, MI

These guys have excellent customer service. Bought a pair of costa sunglasses. Adam was helpful in finding the right pair to fit my face. He spent as much time as needed in taking care of me.
